First day of c25k

Hey I started with the program today on the treadmill. I am 24 male and slightly overweight. I was able to finish 3 km with walking speed of 6-6.2 km/hr and running speed of 7 km/hr. I was just wondering is the pace too slow? Also my heart rate rose up to 153 while running which is above the heart rate zone of 60-70%. So is that something to worry about?

Welcome on here,,  Congratulations on starting, that is the first step.  Your speed is just fine for you if you are doing great at that speed..  You will increase as you go along.  

 

I have Fitness Calculators on my website      http://cavegirlcancook.com/fitness-calculators/, you can use these calculators, for your calories, BMR, RMR, etc..to see your heart rate too.   I do not know your age, weight etc., to be able to see if your heart rate is too high for you.   Mine was 160 in class the other night and I felt fine.  Let me know your age, etc.. and I can go look.

 

Anyways, proud of you for starting.. Do you live Overseas?
