Guest Grace
I am trying to start the 200 Sit Up challenge, but I do not understand what the 5 minute warm up is supposed to be for the sit ups. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Nev
I've just bought the same app, I'm assuming when it says warm up just stretch, although 5 mins does seem abit ott for some sit ups.
KellyAnn
Just make sure you warm up before our begin. I usually do this app after my workouts. Then I'm already warmed up and can fast forward. Good luck
ballanburden
The 5 minute warmup is simply a time to get your blood flowing and your muscles warmed up and prepared to work. A brisk walk is sufficient. One must be careful with stretching, as it is easy to tear or injure a cold muscle by stretching too far. Studies have shown that stretching is most beneficial on warm muscles and best reserved for the cool down period instead of as a warm up. Guest Grace
Ok thanks. I knew it couldn't be stretching, for those reasons. But a walk seemed silly because I planned on doing this at my house. I guess I'll add it to my gym routine! It also seemed funny that it didn't say what it wanted since I'm so used to the c25k! Thanks for the help!
KellyAnn
Yes. Even just jog in place at home is perfect. What Ballan said about stretching. Never ever stretch muscles cold. Bad idea. Thanks Ballan.
