Guest Mich
I felt the same way when I got to that part as well, but I just did the best I could and moved on to the next day. When the next set of 20min rolled around, I found I was able to go much farther than the last time. Everyone approaches it differently, but I just did the best I could and I'm really happy with my progress. Hope this helps
Guest Maria
Hi, I couldn't do it my first time either. So I redid the whole week and on day 3 I paced myself and went nice and slow and concentrated on my breathing. I got into a rythym so that when I stopped it almost felt like I was still going lol. Guest Shelly
I wa really worried about this stage as it's a sudden jump from 8 mins to 20. However I did complete it and felt amazing after. But since I am now struggling to complete the 8 &10 mins runs on week 6 day 1 & 2 doesn't seem right. Guest Ju
Hi there! On Wednesday I will do my week 5 day 3 (so 20 mins running in a row) and I'm both worried and excited about that. The thing is: I've monitored my progress with runtastic and the maximum distance I cover so far is 3,5 km in 30 mins (included warmup and cool down) I think it's not enough in order to reach 5km on the 8th week. What do you think about that? Thanks
KellyAnn
Great work Shelly, woohoo! Â Â Ju - the more you do in the next few weeks will probably improve your stats. Â So if a 5k is 3 miles, then a 3.5 k is 1.5 miles? Â idk, I will look it up. Â 30 minutes is about average for a 5k. Â When I was in amazing shape, I could do it in 27 minutes, HA, not anymore, try 40 minutes, uggghhh,,, Â Do Interval training and speed work, and you should improve. Â Good luck and Happy Running! Guest Alboub
Hello everyone from Greece...... I am in the week 5 day 3 status for tomorrow. It is really quite challenging to go from 8 minutes to 20 minutes with no stopping but it was also quite challenging from 0 sec to 60 sec in the beginning. So no matter what I am thrilled that I came this far Nyway

Guest Asheley j
Hi guys!! On week 5 day 3 I completed the full thing the first try. I was so so so so worried Id quit. But I hit a pace I knew I'd be able to maintain and kept going. I blasted my music and focused on the song. Not my laps or speed and stride or anything. I actually went out the next day thinking I was gonna run 30 minute straight. And I did. It was only 2 miles though. I go slow because I'm more worried about completing it. I'm still pleased that I was able to do it. Hope this helps someone!! And FYI I'm not some little skinny thing could run to begin with. Week one kicked my butt. I could barely run 45 seconds. And I'm over 300 lbs. stick your mind to it and don't turn back.

anewnam
Ashley a mile is a mile no matter what pace you run it. That saying has helped me so much through this journey. I just completed wk5 day3 and I had so much anxiety over it. I was SLOW but I did it and that's all that matters! Guest Nagemall
I have never been a runner - even when I was young and thin. Now I'm chronologically middle aged and definitely not thin but my friend's daughter just started 'Girls On The Run' and asked me to be her running buddy for the 5K so I started doing C25K so I can be her buddy. At times it has seemed daunting and unattainable but I just keep telling myself one day I'll look back and say "remember when 90seconds seemed insurmountable" I didn't really believe I would get to that point but I did :-). I'm now in week 5 (I did some of the earlier weeks 2 times). When I looked at the plan for this week I thought /hoped the 20 minute run on week 5 day 3 was an error. I guess it's not :-/. I'm due to jog that tomorrow. It seems like a tall order given that I was impressed with myself for being able to do the two 8 minute segments yesterday! I plan to give it my best shot and just keep a slow steady pace. If I don't make it, I'll redo the week and try again! Fingers and shoe laces crossed! Guest Kerri
I'm by no means a runner but had been doing cardio, so when I started the app I started in week 3. Initially I struggled with the 3 minutes, then it seemed to get easier but the 5 min was a struggle. I was really worried about the 8 and freaking out about 20!! I've been doing mine on the treadmill at 9kmh but decided to try outside. I ran but was short of breath after only 3 min. I slowed it down and went much better. I got myself a hrm watch which you can set a goal for pace so I set it at 6:30 per km and managed 3.5km this morning My hr is stupidly high (189 when jogging). Anyway, I would suggest slowing down to get the distance and then work on speed when you can do the 5km - that's what I'll be doing.
Dunicorn
Everything me here I see is talking about week 5 but I can't complete the 5min running on week 4. I try day 3 tomorrow, on week 4, and then move on? Should I repeat week 4 or just move to week 5 in everyone's opinion? Thanks
