Thanks for your message! I'm in the same position as you, starting the new year off right. I realized yesterday that I was a Little in over my head with the 10k training, so I decided to go to the 5k program, so I'm now currently on w2d3. I'm feeling much more comfortable starting here.

I have been getting some pretty intense pain on the inside of my calf just above my ankle. So just icing it and that seems to help. I really do enjoy running. I have only done 5k and 10k races, not a half marathon, they scare me! Haha

I get Charlie horses in my calls now...once I get back in shape I'm not going to lose it again!! Half marathons aren't that bad surprisingly. Except I usually get passed by speed walkers halfway through and can't catch them, I might be intolerably slow at running but I used to enjoy it.!! Good luck! Do you have a foam roller? Would that possibly help with the pain?

Just got through day 2 and it wasn't as bad, definitely appreciative of my foam roller and working out my running muscles. Thankfully it rained her so the sidewalks weren't as slippery here, which was helpful... I can't wait to be able to run again the way I used to! Have you signed up for any races yet? Or waiting til you get closer to being done?

Yeah me too! It's getting much easier, I can't believe it. I was actually just looking up races here in Houston. And I just signed up for a 10k on June 5! I figure that gives me plenty of time to train and get in great shape. The body of truly amazing at how it can transform and become comfortable with running. Just like you I used to run a lot and then stopped. Nice to be getting back into it again!

Just got back from run 3! Feeling very good. The only thing that's bugging me is a spot just above my right ankle on the inner side. Weird. Icing it now.

I always run in the morning, so I start with some water and black coffee. Then I make some oatmeal. After running I usually jug a big bottle of water and stretch.

I'm sorry excited about the progress and of course the weight loss :)

Yeah I drink one cup of coffee in the morning and the rest of the day is cold been tea and water.

Stretching is do key, will it is for me anyways! Lol. Especially after the run. Oatmeal is so awesome! I just do the original flavor and its instant. So sorry quick and convenient. And cheap too!

When do you run next?

Hey cold been tea..never heard of it. I stick to my kcup coffee all day like 7 or 8 cups. Oatmeal is one of my favorites with toast. I like Quaker Oats. I'm thinking of running again tomorrow morning if I'm not too sore. That would be too days in a row so I am breaking the rules! Lol
