Jimbo57
Just finished my first workout. I walked at 3.5 mph and ran at 5.5 mph. This kept my heart rate between 125 and 140. I'm a 58 year old male, 30 pounds overweight, and not too active. Any suggestions?
SteveJ
Welcome! The best pace when starting out is one where you feel like you could still hold a conversation. You want to work at building endurance and slower pace allows you to run longer. Great job!
Jimbo57
Thanks! I think I would have had trouble talking the last couple of reps.
Rob129
That seems like a good start; hope you have fun with it.
Jeshi
Hi Jimbo, if you can run slower, please do. The most elite athletes train at a slow pace as it lets them run longer. Try this posture out. See if it makes running easier.
