anewcreation
So, how do I find out how far I ran and how many calories I burned this morning when I ran?

KellyAnn
Hi and Welcome, What most of us do either wear a fitness tracker or we use and app running in the background, like MapyMyFitness or runkeeper. Keep me posted..
vgrandja
How about using the treadmill or a heart rate monitor that comes with a watch? Either way you are spending money. Which is cheaper depends on other things you want for your workout. KellyAnn
Akay12
If you run with your phone physically on your body (not like in a cup holder on a treadmill), there are free apps that can tell you approximately what you're doing step and calorie-wise. Obviously they're not perfect but they're probably only off by a few steps. I use Pacer, but if you have an iPhone the Health app (part of apples standard predownloaded apps) also tracks steps/mileage and calorie burn but it's the most basic of programs and not great for long term tracking. CamEli
Ok, I have a question than... If you need another app to document all your mileage, steps, etc, than what is the point of this app? Is is literally JUST an app to add my run time to myfitnesspal? It doesn't even do that correctly, because there's no way for a week now I've ran and walked the exact same pace (walking, 4 mph, running 5.2 mph). It seems like the app is just guessing what I did speed-wise). I know this comment sounds a bit frustrated, but I paid for the pro version of this app to keep accurate records of my runs (just like I use Fitbit to accurately track my steps thru the day, and I use SWORKIT pro to track my workouts). I'm honestly asking if I'm missing something? What's the difference between this app and me just inputting 15 min of walking and 15 min of running into myfitnesspal and calling it good? Any help on this would be much appreciated! Thank you :-) jmoore11 and birdiegirl73
Anne Lang
this app builds endurance slowly and safely if u have the pro version click on middle circle it flips and gives your info at the end of your work out before you click done click the fit pal icon to send your info to fitness pal let me know if this helped. CamEli
Thanks for the response Anne :-) First of all, I've used other apps that also coach you and builds endurance (tells you when to walk and when to run). What separates them from this app is once I'm done with my run, these other apps have accurate details of my run. Which leads me to my second of all. You say if I hit the circle my details will pull up. That's exactly what I'm looking for, however when I clicked on the middle (or pretty much anywhere on the screen) both during my run and after my run, I could not get the app to show me ANY details. If I clicked the middle circle before time was up, nothing would happen (and no, I did not have the screenlock on) and as soon as the run was complete, it took me immediately to the done screen where I am allowed to post to Facebook, myfitnesspal, etc. But once I'm on that screen, there's nothing for me to click except the done button. Is my app working as intended, or is there an issue with my app?
Anne Lang
not sure i would contact customer suport from a desk top or lap top when i touch the bottom of the middle circle it flips over and tells me my calorie burn and when i touch again it gives my distance i touch the fit pal icon and a screen pops up saying getting permission to conect then it tells me message sent then i touch the face book i con and post there then i touch done. let me know if customer suport helps
CamEli
Wow! If this app can do that, I'll be much much happier :-) Thank you Anne! I will further my research and keep this post updated

CamEli
Ok, to Anne and anyone else reading this thread. I have been contacted by customer support from zenlabs. This was the response: "With the latest C25K Pro version on Android, you can tap the center dial to flip the timer and reveal your distance and calories. But with C25K Pro on iOS, these features are not available, only Android had this feature. Hopefully this information is helpful to you." If he even added to the response that they were working on this feature for iOS or that it would be coming soon, I would wait for it. But since he said it's not available, period, well then it looks like I'm off to find a new app. Thank you everyone and especially Anne for answering my questions. I will no longer be a user of C25K. Good luck in your running endeavors!

LoriLClark
I've just purchased the pro version of the 10k, and am trying to figure out if it calculates mileage, like the Active apps do, with a built in GPS, or do I have to also use something else in the background like map my run?
