I am on week 4 day 2 and I am experiencing hip pain on my left side. It has been there all along, but is now becoming more pronounced. I have done some research, but it's all very confusing. The pain is towards the top and front of my left hip, the right hip has no pain at all. Has anyone experienced this and how have you found relief?

Many ??? Do you stretch? How about a massage , that can reduce spasms, and identify them if you have them. Are your hips off? Maybe a chiropractic adjustment and/ or massage???

  • 2 weeks later...

I have a hip bone (or so it feels like) problem and it's turned out to be a quad muscle has been pulled I have to see a physio and I've been given stretches to do to help it, if it's not feeling better I would suggest you get it looked at

Get it diagnosed. Mine was/is bursitis. It has a mind of its own, but it is manageable most of the time, but there are days where it's .... A major inconvenience. I've had it for 25 yrs! but just keep plugging along.

Depends on how it hurts and what you're doing. I tore my labrum in my hip and running was extremely painful. It was due to the hard impact of the heel strike. I found out I could run on my toes and I was fine. Most likely if it doesn't hurt, Luke sharp pains hurt, with high impact then its probably not your labrum.

I suggest ibuprofen and hot/cold compresses.

I've experienced this and it ended up being a stress fracture. I'd recommend going to a Sports Medicine doctor, they can do more than a regular doctor. My doctor told me to put an ice pack on for five minutes, then a heat pad for five minutes weekly. I would recommend finding a local Sports Medicine doctor first.

I'm having the exact same problem. I have had problems with my back and hip in the past. Used to have a pinched nerve and was in pain everyday for years. I changed jobs to a desk job and the pain went away. Now since I've been running for 6 weeks it has returned. I am very discouraged. I finally found something I love and I may have to give it up. Anyway all the best with u..hope u feel better soon.
