Hello everyone!

My name is trish and I am so lucky because zenlabs has made me a new moderator for these amazing forums. I almost didnt want to introduce myself but reading through everyones stories and posts I know I am among friends and fellow fitness lovers.

A little about me. I am almost 26 I am very happily married to the most amazing man I have ever met and am the mother of an extremely intelligent and wildly energetic two year old boy. He is the light of my life and my greatest acheivement. Unfortunately the waistline and thirty extra pounds that came along with him were not.

Almost a year ago exactly I made the decision to change my life and become healthier. I was waking up every day and hating my body. For all those who have or are going through the same thing, you know how incredibley exhausting that is. I was tired of it because I realized the worst thing about it was, I wasnt doing anything to change it.

I had tried different techniques to lose weight in the past and nothing seemed to stick for longer than a week. I come from a very fitness savy family. My dad was a coach and health expert for many many successful athletic programs (football wrestling you name it), my mother was in the navy for 26 years (my brothers are now as well of which I am very proud), my brother in law runs marathons for petes sake. I was extremely frustrated that I couldnt do it on my own because I thought I knew everything I needed to know from second hand advice. Finally, I tried C25k. It was something a friend of my husband and I was doing. She said it was great because running had been the quickest way for her to get healthy. I was very reluctant at first because I had hated any kind of running I ever had to do because of all the sports i was involved in through high school and college. Why would I willingly do it now when I didnt have to? But she swore by it up and down so I tried it. Im not going to lie to you guys, it was just as bad as I remember.  W1D1 just reminded me of that  fact. I am telling you all this because it is a testamony to how amazing this program is. So much so that I not only finished the program but am an avid runner to this day. I can now run a 5k in thirty minutes flat and have made it up to six miles without stopping. I work out everyday (minus the must follow day off) and am health and fitnessed obsessed. I have used most of the apps and programs zenlabs have loved all of them. I have lost thirty pounds and am the lightest and healthiest (which is what is most important) i have ever been.

I am here for help and support and will try to answer any questions anyone has. Trust me I have been at the very bottom of the fitness totempole.

Thanks to everyone and am looking forward to getting started!

Congratulations Trish!  I've read a few of your posts - always uplifting! You will be (ARE) an excellent moderator!!   :)  :D

A powerful-goosebumby-testimony!  You experienced challenge, proved yourself wrong, celebrated your success AND kept at it long afterwards and now are here to share the gift of your experience with each of us!   Each day I come here and read, I am that much more inspired and motivated to experience the same successes.  I'll do this.  Correction: I AM doing this!  I am literally riding on the shoulders of greatness!

Congrats on the "lightest and healthiest" you have ever been!!!  CHEERS!!
