    New overweight runner

    Hi. I just started this program this morning. I am overweight and not used to jogging or running. I am wondering how to find the ideal speed for my walk/jog. I don't want to push too hard and injure myself but I also want to maximize my benefits. Thanks for any advise.

  2. Hi all! I just wanted to update you on my progress on pavement. I'm on week 6 day 2 and I feel great! I'm loving the running on pavement with my hubby at 5:00 in the morning. We registered for a 5k on April 18th. I'm so eager to reach my goal! I have an old knee injury that acts up every now and again. I Ice it and get my day of rest and it's been fine. I've lost 10 lbs and have a healthy BMI. Feeling like a million bucks. Thanks for all your support

    I'm also overweight..started week 4, day one today..I walk at 3.5 and run at 4.5-7..
