    Chondromalacia Patellae

I was diagnosed with chondromalacia in 2006. I am a dancer and I was a breaststroker. Both very bad for knees. I was given the option of surgery or physical therapy. I opted for therapy which consisted of Pilates. It worked wonders. When I started running, I added yoga, ballet, and strength training (sumo squats instead of regular) and my knees have not hurt at all! Hope this helps

  2. The best thing I did when I started C25K was to visit my local running store and have my gait analyzed. It made a huge difference in my endurance. Ran my first 5K on 7/4 and couldn't be more proud to be a runner!
