Guest Kelly
i completed my first run-w1d1 and was super excited, however, after I was finished, a muscle over my upper hip hurts every time I take a step!! I've been trying to stretch it, have taken alieve, but it's still pretty painful when I move. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? KellyAnn
Hi Kelly, Oh Ouch, I have no idea how you did that? You might need to see someone about that. Ice it and see if that helps. Keep me posted. Hope you heal up fast.
Guest Steph
I was hoping you had an answer. I experienced the same thing. I have kept up with the running. It hurts more after every run. If I wait a day or 2 between runs I can manage. Until tonight. Tonight was W6D3. I couldn't do it. I had to stop running and take a walk break. I tried running after a minute walk. No go. Too much pain. I finished by walking it. I think it may be time to have it looked at. Anyone else experiencing this? cjenlive
could it b your sciatic nerve maybe being pinched? I'm not a runner (yet) but maybe an idea
Azatol
First off I'm not doctor and it wouldn't be a bad ideas to see one. Witth that being said, assuming it seems you heal up after a couple days for you you run again I'd consider that you need more of a warmup. I'd google running warm up or dynamic strretches ( Normal stretching is a No No before you work out ). You may just be upsetting something. Possibly your quads? Guest Allyson
Sounds like hip flexor. Try doing clam shells to help stretch and strengthen. Look up hip flexor stretches.
