Guest Darian Posted December 4, 2014 Report Share Posted December 4, 2014 Hi my name is Darian and this morning I finished week one day one. I got this app yesterday and I hope I stick with it. I am a future sailor (going into the navy) and yesterday I trained with the other future sailors and we all jogged/ran 3 miles. Now I could handle the first mile and a half but the second one was what killed me. I couldn't breathe, and I was breathing in through my nose and out through my mouth, and so I eventually let everyone pass me (even though we were supposed to be doing it as one big group). There were a small handful of us that did the same and admittedly some passed me, but I toughed it out and finished it without getting into the car that a recruiter was in so we could rest and catch our breath. Day by day you will get stronger. Keep at it and you can do it. Also do some breathing exercises through your diaphragm deeply. I do 3 x a day. Most of us do not breathe deep at all and so our lungs never fill to capacity. Try it. Good luck in your training. Do some strength training too.
