Guest KeavenBoies
I have at least 50 to lose ... and I think so Yes. For me it's not just about loosing weight but getting healthier at the same time. After seeing lot of success stories, I believe the answer to you question is : YES ! I wish I will be able to add my story to the success ones.
Redwiggler
Did you put all the weight on in 6 months? If not, go with the slow and steady and win the race. Averaging 1 pound a week is a much better way to go if you want to keep the weight off in the long run. And yes, you can loss the weight. However, be good about changing out running shoes often because with the extra weight you actually breakdown the shock absorption faster on the shoes and then set yourself up for more stress fracture injuries. And I'm one of those working on losing the weight. Not as fast as I personally would love to do, but it's coming off. Since January I'm down 10 pounds. I still have a lot more to go, but .... it too shall happen. slowlychanging23
slowlychanging23
I wish we all could lose the weight fast/easy but i found out it's best to lose slowly. I'm still learning- have over 100 lb to lose but hoping to lose about 50 by end of this year so i can be in one-wonderland by 2015 lol
slowlychanging23
Wish it's easy and fast to lose the weight but not always work out. I have around 100 lb to lose to be in healthy BMI :-/ Right now i found that slow and steady is best- i'm still learning. I'm impatient sometimes. Right now I'm hoping to try to lose around 50 lb by the end of this year so i can be in one-wonderland by 2015 lol i'm tired of being unhealthy. so thankful for c25k training to help me get there since i started liking running/jogging a little bit. heybecky
I'm getting ready to get started - I have searched the site to see if there is a printable plan for the C25K as I'm the type that needs to see things laid out in advance. Anyone know if there is a printable plan available to use with the app?
Timb113
Becky, there are many you can find, probably some similar to the ZenLabs version, online. You can also look through the plan from the beginning to end. I always like to know a few days out what's coming. So I was always looking a week ahead or so. You could always write it out to have too. Wouldn't take long with just the 24 workouts.
mycowsnz
Re: the printing out the programme. When I first started i just copied and pasted each day into a word document and then printed from there if that helps. Goodluck. Guest Graeme9479
Plan, plan, plan. My story goes like this; I am a 34 yr old father of 3 (all under the age of 5), I work FT as a retail manager (no set schedule), I attend the University of Pheonix (online classes) FT AND completed the C25kfree program from April 14, 2014 to running my first 5k on Father's Day of this year. There are many factors to being successful, but for me there were 2. The first was for me. This was a challenge to myself saying that with all on my plate, I can do this and be successful! (Just finish my 3rd 5k at 24:00min flat). The second was for my family and their support. They understood that I would be out "running" 3 times a week for only a short time, but that would be a good thing down the road. We would make up the 1.5 hrs of my commitment on the backend. The only way to be successful is to plan each week ahead of time and stick to it. If you have the ability to have a set schedule, this should be easy, but if you are like me, this takes some thought. I was actually running at sometimes as late as 10 pm in my neighborhood because that was the day that I commited to. I have lost 13lbs since starting, but a bigger win is that I have dropped a pant size! The scale may not reflect your changes, but your clothing will! graeme9479
jvincent78
Great job, thanks for sharing that. It's motivating. I don't recall if I saw this on Zen Labs Facebook feed, but somewhere I read that to treat your running sessions like business meetings. Literally put them on your calendar if you have to. You wouldn't skip an important business meeting, so don't skip your running session. Plan, plan, plan.
