58 year old starts training for her first 5K, any suggestions?

Hello Janine. In reading your post and considering your health challenges I would highly recommend tell your doctor what you are doing. Running is not a low impact form of ecercise considering your back. I am 70 now and am going to start this tomorrow. I would take this very slowly and in your case don't ignore pain if you experience that. All the best to you. Daily fitness action is the key.
