I have degenerative disc disease in my lower back and neck, plus Fibromyalgia. Any suggestions about starting to run at this age? All would be appreciated. Thank you. In reading your post and considering your health challenges I would highly recommend tell your doctor what you are doing. Running is not a low impact form of ecercise considering your back. I am 70 now and am going to start this tomorrow. I would take this very slowly and in your case don't ignore pain if you experience that. All the best to you. Daily fitness action is the key.
