Maizie88
I have slightly chunky arms and very large trap muscles (not by choice - I hate them). I'm nervous doing a lot of upper body workouts in case I make them bigger and not slimmer. Any recommendations to slim out the arms but with no chance of making my traps bigger? Swathi
hi! Maizie.. Upper body strength training won't make you big, it will give you lean muscles. there are plenty of exercises available online on upper body with or without weights, you can use stretchable bands, kettle bell or just dumbbells, of course you have to watch what you eat! there isn't anything like spot reduction. Maizie88
Thank you for your response. Only light weights though right? If I go heavy, i'm assuming that's when I might bulk?
Guest SimonP
The vast majority of women will not bulk up by lifting heavier - bulk female body builders have a very regimented lifting routine and are either genetically disposed to gain muscle or have 'assistance' . Toning is a combination of fat reduction and muscle strength. Lift heavier (in a safe manner).
livenlift
Increase your reps when lifting to tone down your arms.
Giang Dang
I think push up would help, you should do for about 5 rounds per day, 20 times for each round. ________ Everfit
