Restarted week 5 this week again day 1 & 2 completed but day 3 is kicking my butt. Help I need advice. Should I move on to week 6...should I rinse & repeat week 5 over & over...or should I just repeat day 3 until I can complete my 20 minute run? torus_ot Posted February 21, 2016 Report Share Posted February 21, 2016 It is mental. You are already running 20 min with short break. First do not look at the phone or timer. Second, reduce the pace. Play music, think about something else. Tell yourself that you are running Day 2, and then continue first interval as long as you can. If you need to - walk for 5-10 sec and continue. Don't be upset. It is normal to repeat days and weeks. It is still good for you. I was afraid W5D3 too. burnsie Posted February 21, 2016 Report Share Posted February 21, 2016 I am right there with you! Just finished W5D2 today and looked ahead at W5D3 and thought how am I going to do this? I am not running at the pace of a 10 minute mile, are you? I am closer to a 15 minute mile. If I am unable to complete W5D3, I will try the suggestion of redoing W5D1 and D2 with an additional interval. Let me know how you do, good luck! I am glad to read the posts though and I won't feel so bad If it gets too much. i think it's a huge jump! i literally came to the forum to see if it's just me i did day one, and was like "yay, i didn't die!". today was day 2 and i didn't check in advance bc i thought they days were all the same as in previous weeks. 8 minutes kicked my butt, and then i did 5 and 5 more. will have to repeat day 2 and then move onto day 3 which does not even seem doable at this point. i am glad i am not the only one struggling with this!
