RunnerWannaBee
Hi! I'm a 54 year old, female, RunnerWannaBee! I just started the program today. I don't have a single athletic bone in my body. Never have. I spent 2015 losing weight, and lost 80 lbs. through a medically supervised diet. I'm no longer on cholesterol meds, and all my labs are perfect. My weight is now in the healthy category, and I'm feeling wonderful, after being overweight go 20 years! (Amazing) I hired a trainer 2 months ago who is building my strength through weights and am ready to move in to cardio! My goal for 2016 is to run a 5k, and would really like to do a 10K. Lofty goal, I'm sure, but I've got my eye on the 5k prize. Question: are you supposed to do this program every other day (to account for a resting period) or is it ok to do it everyday? I want to do it right. If every other day, is it ok to walk 2-3 miles on the other days? I weight train 2 days a week, and so I need to get this figured out. You are all an inspiration and I can't wait to run my first 5k. I'm signed up for one a month from today, and as long as I dint come in last place, I'll be happy!
