Kmb
Hi, Saw this post on face book and decided to join. Will turn 58 tomorrow and for the first time have been feeling the issues of being 40 lbs over weight. Tired, back hurts, knees...blah blah. Seeking encouragement and a outlet to help me succeed in becoming healthier and loosing weight? Any suggestions for the jump start? MoveMe
Hi Kmb- I can relate to your post. I am about to turn 54 and am 50 pounds overweight. I am completing my third week feeling good about that but also feeling somewhat discouraged that the area below both knees has started hurting only while running. Could be several things like shoes, gait, weight. I'm telling myself I've been on the couch for way too long so the pain will subside (hopefully) when I get stronger and the pounds fall off. Best of luck to you.
Breezee
Spend the money on some good shoes - it is well worth the investment. It will also help you get out there to justify the cost!
Speedingsloth
Couldn't agree more with the shoes! They make a world of difference. I was wearing the wrong type for my feet type and resulted in knee pains. Got fitted and no complaints since! They are a worthy investment. I justify the shoe cost in lieu of gym fees
