marym
Hi there, I guess I should start by saying I'm new to running. I've always wanted to be a runner, but found myself giving up pretty much instantly I think because I struggle with technique. I tend to hold my breath and I have a hard time focusing on keeping my breathing even AND keeping proper form. Today during my workout, my breathing seemed good but I am SO HEAVY on my feet. I know something is wrong with my technique but not sure what or how to fix it? I'm only on W1D3 Thanks!
Rob129
You may want check out the running techniques sticky. If it works for you a running clinic is a good investment. Where I live (Northern California), my health insurance offers running and walking clinics with the objectives being injury avoidance and performance improvement. YouTube also has some pretty good videos on drills and strengthening your core muscles (strong core muscles support a good running gait). marym
Thank you for the reply rob. Unfortunately I don't think I have access to a running clinic, but I will look on YouTube and research more so I stick with it! Thanks again!
