Spin classes

I haven't been active at all lately but really want to start up a good work out regime again. I've been thinking about spin classes but have always heard how difficult they are and that typically they are for the super in shape. Just seeing what you guys think....go full force straight into spin classes or start mild work outs first for a couple weeks before trying?
