M name is Gwen; I don't know how to upload a photo or find my profile on the IPad app, so maybe someone could tell me? ANYWAY, I'm a 55yo white, Divorced female, living between Dayton and Cincinnsti Ohio. In 2012, someone I was dating convinced me to go to the Y, and i5mos later (Nov, 2012) I walked my first 5K, doing 2 more before years' end, starting weight of 232lbs. Sadly, in 2013 when I set to repeat my first, I found out my Aortic Valve was failing, and it stopped me; It took me all of 2014 to pick a surgeon, get ready and go through surgery, but I did in Dec. NOW, I'm READY to try, but my weight it at 286! The Drs say I can EASILY walk it, even at this weight, but I've no one in my personal life that even cares. It's hard to be motivated like this, so a friend suggested this program. PLEASE SAY HI, and tell me how to find my profile, fill it out, and begin to be accountable to all of you and cheer you on too?

Glad you are here, Gwen! I find writing recaps of my sessions very therapeutic. It helps me analyze how to improve, motivates and inspires others, and keeps me accountable. It's also nice to read back and see how I've improved (motivation for myself to keep going).

I hope you'll come back and post how your session went. We'll be your biggest supporters!  :D
