Guest Christina
Will just doing this program and dieting be enough for weight loss? Or should I walk on the rest days? I want to lose about 30 pounds
KellyAnn
Hey Christina, great job for beginning. I would use the program for 3-4 times a week and life weights 2x a week. I find thats the most effective for great weightloss. Im right there with you on lbs to lose. Lets do this. Im doing the 10k app and i love it. Ask any questions. I posted fitness calculators under diet and nutrition topic, so go there and it will show you how many calories you need a day. Way to go. Guest Kristy
Hey girls! I'm after about 40 lbs and I'm having to try to find time to do this... And motivation! Have you started this program already?!
KellyAnn
Yes Kristy. I am doing the 10k app after finishing the 5k one. Im on week 2, day 2. I am finding that it motivates me to go faster, do better. Do you mean you want to lose 40lbs or you have lost 40lbs???? I am going for 30. I vary my running days. I do T25 dvds, 10k app and weight training, depending on how i feel. And 2 nights a week of peak training at our local school. I workout in the mornings as i find that otherwise i will not work out. Guest Stacy
Just started C25k today and I'll have to say it wasn't too bad. I'm 50 and wanting to get in shape and lose about 40 lbs. I know it will take a while but I guess you have yo start somewhere! I do have a question though. How do i change thd music on the playlist? I listened to U2 over and over! Ugh!! KellyAnn
I think you have to make a playlist in your main music like iTunes or Google. I just moved to the Galaxy s5, so I have no music yet. I carried an iPod, my phone and my gear live watch. Not easy, ended up leaving the iPod and running with no music. Uh, no fun. But Im hoping so,wine can help us there. I need it too. Btw, you are doing great , I'm with you in the weightloss too. I want to lose some too and get in shape. We can do it. Guest Runningmama
Hi all, have you done measurements or taken pictures of yourself? I started this program more for fitness than weight loss so the scales are not a great tracker for me. I took photos as well as jumping on the scales and after a month I had gained 1kg but looked way slimer in the photos. I was amazed as I hadn't noticed the change. It can be disheartening to not see the number you want on the scales when in fact they could be your problem! Some I you might not be plateuing at all bit just building muscle and changing shape! KellyAnn
I hate weighing myself on the scales. I will weigh when my pants fall off. LOL, i rarely weight myself. Before and after pics are the way to go. Muscle weighs more, so any weight gain is surely muscle. I go by how my clothes feel. Awesome for you RMama.
