Carut
Are there any apps that you guys use to track the distance and the average speed while using c25k app? I'm looking for free ones mostly. Thanks!
SteveJ
I am using the Fitbit app (because I have a fitbit), but I think that app works on its own too. I launch the app to track exercise and it uses GPS and a timer to track distance and speed (even does mile splits). Not sure if the app works like this without a fitbit, but I would think so. And it's free. I also have heard good things about Nike+ apps, and I think they have one for running. I also have Runkeeper on my phone, but haven't tried it yet (it's free too). Jeshi
Hi, Carut, I use MapMyRun. It's free. I load c25k first and choose the day (I'm repeating sessions). Then, I load MapMyRun and tap start workout. I switch to c25k for the duration of the session and then go to MapMyRun to end the session. Works well for me. Carut
Thanks Steve and jeshi. I bought a fitbit charge a couple of days ago, but mine doesn't have the gps tracker in it. So I'll have to use something else. I use map my ride for biking, so I'll try mapmyrun the next time I do this c25k. Thanks.
SteveJ
No problem Carut! I actually only have the charge hr (no gps tracker either) but if your phone has GPS, then you can use the app. You click on 'track exercise' and then click on the stopwatch in the top right corner. That catches your GPS signal and then you just hit the 'play' button. But I think MapMyRun works very well too, so if you're already using the equivalent biking app, might be a similar interface.
