Maizie88
Has anyone used turmeric to bring down inflammation? and has it worked? I always read about it and I think most times it's used in tea, but I'm just curious if it works in the same way a good cold compress would. And has anyone used it to reduce inflammation in the gut (bring down bloating etc.)? Martianmermaid

Keto
Best thing for inflammation is to avoid sugar! Take your carb intake down to about 25 grms a day for few months ... be easy on protein because it will burn like sugar .. up the good fats
Zen Dog
Turmeric works for me, it has helped a lot with post run aches. It is not easy for the body to utilize the active ingredient though. My understanding is that the active ingredient is fat soluble but also needs Piperine to be present, which is found in fresh crushed black pepper. This is water soluble. So lightly frying turmeric and black pepper with onions in oil as the base for a stew and then adding water should do the trick.
