Neglect and Procrastination

Hi everyone,

I'm going to try and get fit because I'm finding that having too much fat on my body is rather uncomfortable. I also hate sweating so much in the summer in places that I have never done so in the past! I'm going to be realistic, I have no idea how long it'll take me to get back into shape. Maybe this app will do it. Maybe spending money on a gym will. My one strength is that I enjoy eating healthy foods, so I definitely have a good start. Maybe I'll do a color run next year. :)

Welcome! Making the choice to get into shape is a such a great one. You wont regret it. I wish you the best of luck!

Color runs are a great place to start race wise because theyre so much fun with no pressure to win!

Same here. I've been trying to get back healthy for over 3 years after neglecting and procrastinating for 5 years. I gained 40+ lbs back. I had let everything go. Over the past 3 years it has been a slow process of letting go of unhealthy habits. Sounds silly but I started with yoga1x per week, sleep and drinking water as goals. Well, I am back again. This time using the C25K app. I am up to week 3. For this weekend, I am going to repeat wk2,day3 to be sure I am ready for the new week. Start small....be sure to get in good sleep (including setting a bed time and amount of time). Good sleep works wonders on you perspective.
