I am the opposite of an athlete. I'm 48 with 2 kids in middle school. I'm short and overweight, but I'm not stupid. I've just placed myself on the bottom of the priority list for 17 years. There's really no point in looking back and feeling like I should have done something long ago. I have been training my brain to LOOK FORWARD! Do the workout first, THEN I can argue with myself whether it was the right thing to do or not. I completed W1D1 two times (did it as a test the first time). I'm hoping to find a 5K for me and my kids later on this summer.

Yoga is my one true love, weight lifting is a close second but yoga is the best! Remember take the time to enjoy it, its all about centering yourself :)

Finished W2! I have been going to Yoga once a week for about 2 months. I tend to love a particular activity until I do it so much that I burn out and quit. Rather than add more yoga, I added C25K. That's 4 days of fitness per week. Today is Sunday rest day for me. My muscles are tight and a little sore, but stretching feels SO good! I find myself doing a little torso twist just cuz it feels good. I was standing still waiting in the store & just felt the need to lunge a little to stretch out my calfs & hamstrings. I went to a wedding yesterday & did not indulge too much in all the amazing food offerings. Instead, I danced, alot! I love the balance of C25K & weekly yoga. I still get 3 days a week to give my muscles a rest and reflect on how I feel, breath and dream <3 bring on W3D1 tomorrow, I'm ready!
