Week 5 a bit weird!

Hi Jeanie,

 

That has been a tough one for everyone. I need to email them and ask as it is a major jump and then changes again the next day. Just do your best and see how you do, you might surprise yourself. I am going to ask them. This is a hot topic. Good luck and let me know how you do.

I just took my 3rd whack at W5D3.  Still didn't make it.  What I *did* do was run longer.  1st time, I only made it for 10:00 - I'd eaten too much pasta for lunch and didn't have enough time to digest it.  Ran a little after that but it was a bust.  2nd attempt, I ran for 12:30, took a 2:30 break and ran the last 5:00.  Today I managed to go 14:00, took a 2:00 walk and jogged the rest (despite it being in the 80s now).  Slowly but surely I'm getting there.

 

I just keep trying the same day until I beat it.  I use MapMyRun+ to graph my speeds and distances.  Having those stats has been a LIFESAVER because I can always find something I did better than last time - keeps me from getting discouraged.

Hi!

 

Thanks for your replies, glad I'mnot the only one. I don't move on from an increase until I nail it as usually crash in the last running minute. Feeling I can try W5D3 now though!

 

I've got a tomtom watch and it's great seeing instantly the seconds I'm shaving off each run!

 

I'm in Scotland so run firsth thing before breakfast, it's a bit chilly but I can't go after work :D
