tasha
okay. So I ran Week 3 Day 1 and it was ROUGH! lol...but I got through it! However, I had a coughing spell shortly afterwards and my chest has been feeling different. Not hurting or uncomfortable but I'm breathing different lol. I don't know how to explain it actually. But I hope someone does and offers some advice lol. tasha
KellyAnn
Hi there Tasha, First, Welcome on here. So proud of you. What you are experiencing is quite normal if you haven't run for awhile. Most of us don't breath right. When we breathe we don't fill our lungs right??? Practice deep breathing. Practice breathing through your chest, not your mouth, and fill those lungs up, release. Practice that. A few times. That will help. You might get dizzy at first, but the more you fill up your lungs the easier your runs will get. You are doing fantastic. Keep it up!!!! Guest TrishE
Good advice Kelly! Yoga can help control breathing as well. Meditation. Its not so much deep breathing but itll help your brain and body get a little bit more control over it.
