Sarah Dutch 14
I've decided to give this a go despite never running in my life apart from when forced at school. Like seriously not even for the bus. considering my complete lack of physical activity I am not too overweight. However I've seen some less than flattering pictures of myself lately and my fitness is shocking for a 22 year old! So after finding myself pretty down for all sorts of reasons recently and getting through a whole chocolate orange in one day I decided I should probably do something. I needed something challenging enough but inexpensive and structured so this is perfect! I've just completed week 1 day 1 and wasn't sure I was going to make it. But I did! I'm very pleased with myself and even mostly got over my self consciousness of exercising where people can see me. I'm combining this with some diet changes so fingers crossed I can stick with it! Is there anyone else as unfit as me out there taking part? How did you find the progression? Because after that I'm worried about the transitions! KellyAnn
Hi Sarah, Welcome here to our forums,. You sound very determined to do this. These apps are amazing cuz, like you said, they are challenging to do , as the Lady in the app t=will tell you when to run and walk, now that I LOVE, otherwise, how many of wouldnt do it? This is a great community of people, all shapes and sizes who will help you on here reach your goals. A lot of us are on MyFitnesspal too and we log our food there. Any questions here, just ask. There are quite a few of us who can help you! Good Luck to you!
Sarah Dutch 14
Hi KellyAnn, Thanks for your reply, I am also on myfitnesspal and although I don't want to rule my life around calories it's good to know what you're eating and the nutrition section will make it easy to see where I'm getting too much or not enough of things! It's really easy to integrate into your day as well I find so far! Day 3 of food change and starting to feel the hunger without as much snacking! My legs are do stiff today, I hope I can make day 2 tomorrow! I do feel determined I just hope I keep it up as I do have a tendency to not stick at things! I've told lots of people my plans so hopefully that will be a motivator as I hate to feel like I've let people down! KellyAnn
KellyAnn
Hi Sarah, ME too when it comes to logging in calories. Some days I do, some i do not..... Make sure you rest too, by the way. I like to run for 3 -4 days, but not back to back. I train other ways on those days. Crosstrain, weights, etc....... You are doing great.
