Hi!

I'm on week 8 of C25K and plan to train all the way to a full marathon and hopefully be able to run my first one in November. I am a bit confused, however, whether I go from the C25k app to a 10k and begin there on the first week and so on until the full marathon app or should I just start with the full marathon app from the beginning? Thanks for whatever info you can provide.

From what I noticed when I finished C25k and went on to the 10k app, they start you over at the beginning with walking and running segments. This was a little bit ago so it may have changed. You can start it from the beginning if youd like or maybe skip ahead in the weeks until you find the days that have you running the 30 minutes? thats what I would do. Anyway congrats on making it all the way to week 8 and good luck on those marathons!

Hey GR33E,

It is up to you.  I started with the 10k app as I was already working out all the time.  Like Trishe says, it starts you out about the same and most people who move up to the 10k app, they end up starting at week 6 or so.

I am on Week 8, Day1 today and it had me running for 28 minutes.   I can almost do it.   I stop a few times. But I am doing it.

If you are going to do  a full marathon later this year, I would definitely start with the 10k app and and do 4 days a week instead of 3.  Strength train the other days.

They also a have a half marathon app after and look at that one, but might want to o up to the marathon one too.   Keep me posted how you do.

Good Luck and Welcome here!

Hi Gr33ce!  Congrats on past achieves and how exciting you are on your last week!

I had the same question. Based on how well I am doing, I am going to do the same thing Trish suggested - skip ahead in C210K to where the app says to run 30 minutes and I'll pick up from there, (vs. starting at the very beginning).  :)

Early praise and encouragement for your continued success!  Please keep us posted!  CHEERS!
