LaurenJadeoXo
Hi I'm new to running and to this app. I was wondering following the C210k app. Roughly what sort of distance should I be covering in the 30mins of week 1. I am starting my training on a tredmill due to the lack of light hours outside of work. So I am currently using 6.5 kmph walk and 9.5 kmph jog and I'm covering approx 3.6km in the half hour. I'm unsure whether this is too fast too slow or about right? I just don't want to be going too slow early on and struggle in latter weeks. Any advice would be great. Thanks Lauren x
Azatol
The program normally says run as slow as you possibly can but distance is irrelevent at this poiint. This is about teaching endurance. You will learn to run 30 minutes non stop. Then the speed and distance will come. Run at a comfortable speed and don't stress when your pace drops as your run time vs walk time increases.
Guest TrishE
Like Azatol said, distance isnt important. Focus more on your time rather than your distance. Congrats on starting btw! Welcome. Keep us posted on your progress! We are here to help and encourage if need be.

LaurenJadeoXo
Thanks. I've finished week 1 and starting week 2 today! I'm running on a tredmill though which I know is a lot easier. So I'm just wondering what sort of speed settings I should be running on. Just to make sure I'm not making it too easy for myself x Azatol

This is a game of endurance. Don't worry about speed yet though. You'll know when you need to slow it down to go to distance. For now, do what's comfortable. Guest TrishE
Run as quickly as youre comfortable running. Your body will tell you if youre going too quickly or slowly.
