  2. Hey everyone! My name is Katie. I live in Papillion, NE. I've been married to my amazing husband for almost 4 years now. No kids yet, but we do have a beagle/terrier mix named Benji. I'm majoring in Elementary Education. I enjoy cooking, reading, bicycling, and watching Netflix. I've been running on and off for the last couple years and am finally deciding to be consistent with it. A saying that has really inspired me to get out there is - "Instead of "I don't have time" try saying "It's not a priority" and see how that feels". I started C25K last week. I recently got through week one. It was pretty rough the first day, but I got through it. On the last day for week one the run felt great, so I knew I was ready to transition to week 2. I started week 2 today and totally got my butt kicked. I am positive that I will only get better though. I know it'll only get hard before it gets easier, so I just gotta keep going.

    Hi

Hi there! I'm an on again off again exerciser who wants to stick with it this time and get in shape. Usually I start plans with gusto and then get lazy/burn out after a week or so. Hoping that this time with this plan to follow and a supportive community I can do it! Half marathon is a bucket list thing

  5. I just finished Week2 Day3 also, and was breathing hard and almost couldn't jog the last set (6 of 6). I think it's normal if you start from couch. Just repeat the previous workout if you need to. Because of my busy work, I can only run twice a week. I would suggest resting your legs from pounding the roads during rest days and do other strength exercises instead. Like squats, lunges, or other P90X type exercises to build strength. Regarding the calves pain, I think you need to do proper stretching for your 5mins cool down. The C25K app suggests brisk walk as 5mins warm up, but did not say about the 5mins cool down. Search Youtube and you can find many videos on stretching after running. I personally liked those from FitnessBlender.
