I really want to start tonight.

I have reached a point where the scale keeps fluctuating but inevitably goes up. I'm currently 190ish lbs & I'm suppose to be about 150lbs max but was steadily in the 170's. I do have muscle but not enough to be the cause of my 20lb weight gain. This is it, this is the time for me to take my life & make it better. I don't do much for myself but eating is my biggest pleasure. The holiday season may seem like the craziest time to start but I feel like this is the right time to keep my health from getting any worse. I'd love to have people I can talk to & keep me accountable through this journey. So....who's in?

Hi April S,

Welcome here and so proud of you on this journey.   I think in the General Chat , we have an Accountability Group chat that we all post to.  It is an awesome place to post your workouts, etc...  A lot of us are on MyFitNessPal too and we hold each other accountable there.     You can do it.

Make sure you make healthy food choices too.  You go this.   My 2 favorite Diets ever and which I have my clients on too, is Paleo and Carb Cycling.  Absolutely love those.

I have fitness calculators on www.cavegirlcancook.com you can chek out too.

Let me know how to help you do this1  Proud of you, you can do it!   Good Luck!

OK, I read about your wanting to start tonight post and it looks like it was added on December 14th. I am almost the exact same weight as you and can relate whole heartedly to your struggles. Just curious if you made the 14th your first night and if you have stayed on the program? Wanting to get started this evening myself and would enjoy a friend on the journey to improving our overall health! Let me know how you are doing and if you are sticking to the program. Weight lost, clothes fitting better, have more energy?

I'm happy I'm not alone in this. I was so eager to start that I did days one and two and then realized there was a gap between day three and week two. Oops! I guess I was supposed to rest in between days one and two. I guess il rest tomorrow. I also hope this gets easier. :-)

I'm just starting myself, and will be 60 in June.  Like you, this is something I've always wanted to do.  My children began training two years ago, and I can see such a difference in their lives regarding confidence, commitment, and health-wise.  I have committed to start my journey on Jan 3rd.  I don't know about you, but I'm so afraid, as I'm overweight and so out of shape.  I do like your statement above ... "If I don't do it now ... when?".
