strollers for running

I have been running with my daughter for about 8 months now and have been using the jogging stroller that I got at the shower, it's nice but is definitely more of a 'for looks' stroller and is now starting to fall apart. I've read some reviews on different company websites but I don't know if I can trust those and before I sink several hundred into a stroller and end up with expensive garbage I'm hoping there are some running momma's with recommendations?

I'm more of a running "papa", but I'll give you my experience anyways ;). When my wife and I started casually jogging last year, my mother bought us a bumbleride (indy is the model I believe). And we use it religiously. Our son loved to ride in it, and it would put him to sleep almost every time. The front wheel locks for jogging, it collapses for travel, the sun shade is huge, and there is a bar that you can get so that some models of car seats will fit it. There is also an optional winter cozie to put your little one in for extra warmth in the cold.

It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is so smooth to push (you could litteraly push it with two fingers). We also have a little giant bike attachment that converts to a jogging stroller that we never use because this one is so much better.

Some other plusses:

Adjustable foot rest for child

Adjustable back

Adjustable handlebar for different heighth pushers

Two different placements for the shade

Everything is removable for washing(this has been helpful on several occasions)

Again, I can't say enough good things about this stroller. We use it for everyday (walking, malls, flea markets, etc.), and also for jogging/running, trails (big tires are great for this), parks......

Hope this helps ;)
