surfaces and cold weather

Hello all,

I just started (week 1). I own a treadmill and that's what I've been running on thus far. I'm a little concerned about being able to run outside/on surfaces other than the treadmill. Problem is I live in Minnesota, it's a breezy 15 degrees out today and will soon drop to the below tens and twenties. Does anyone have any cold weather running tips, or ideas as to how I could ensure that I do just as well on various surfaces? Much appreciated!

Hi Snowflake,

Brrr, that sounds really cold. You can do great on a treadmill. It is way different than outside running, but where you live, I'm not a fan of cold weather running. Maybe once in awhile though. I would add an extra day in in your treadmill for endurance and that might help too. Anyways. Good job!!!
