Heyholetsgo
I am literally starting from the couch. I am about 90 lbs overweight, and so out of shape there is no way I can run right now, and not sure if I can even do a full 30 minutes of walking. Should I try to get to a point where I CAN run first, before starting this program?
Cstoli2
It's surprising how fast your body will adapt, but be honest with yourself on your goals. Nothing worse than setting yourself up for failure. Honestly, I needed to do week 1 about three times before I could move on. Try a goal where you do week 1 and just do the 3rd, 5th, and 8th run. Then the next week try every other run. Perhaps by week 3 you can do them all, but maybe only 6 of 8? Just make a plan and stick to it and trust that your body is made to run. Remember, you can always run longer if it feels right. I suggest the book The Courage to Start by John Bingham. You Can do this in your own way. It's perfectly fine. mama.llama
I’m about 40-50 lbs overweight. I just completed week 1 day 1 yesterday. It was very hard and my legs were on fire and today they kill BUT I did it! And I know it will get easier the more I do it. I might need to repeat week 1 after but that’s fine. I’m also coming straight off the couch by the way.
CFK
I’m about 40 lbs overweight and started week 1 day 1 today. I like the suggestion of repeating week 1 or parts of it I will certainly try that.
