Juls
Side aches come from not getting enough oxygen to your stomach. So try and breath deeply when you run rather than shallow breaths. It’s easy to do!
jeb6294
Like Juls said, not getting enough O2. There was an article I saw online at Runner's World once upon a time that talked about breathing with/from your belly. I was able to Google it, but RW blurs it out if you're not paying for it. Basically talked about breathing deep to get enough O2 should come from your diaphragm and not your chest. When you're running and trying to breathe deep, it should almost look like you're trying to show off a beer belly.
Bubble
I'm new to this and have had the same issue, but realised that it helps if you stop eating or drinking at least 2 hours before running and breathing copiously. Keeping your stomach taut, like when you cough, also helps. Good luck!
Jess w
Dont know if you're still having issues but another big reason for cramps is dehydration. Try drinking more water during the day before your run and see if that helps.
