jenni09876
Hi Everyone - I've been running off and on for a few years now. I use the term running loosely as it's a combination of walk when I need to and jog when I can. I am slow at about 12mph have been doing between 3-5 miles/day 4 or 5 days/week with other exercise on poor weather or super busy days. There are some steep inclines on my route so not sure if this is part of what makes my numbers so low. Would it be most sensible for me to start on day 1 the C25K? I like to stay out and exercise for about an hour and really hate to cut my workout short and potentially walk more than I do now. I don't want to get less fit and exercise less but I would like to improve my stamina/speed a bit. Any advice appreciated!! Crabapple
I used the c25k app as a trainer for maybe three months. Somewhere during that time, I got the Nike app and used them together. What I did, was let the c25k app run its course, and then I would continue walking and running, using the Nike app to track my distance and my speed - because it will keep tracking until you tell it to stop or the battery runs down. So, in essence, I turned them both on when I began my run and when I was done I turned the Nike app off and the c25k had already stopped before then. Crabapple
Also, I have a problem with a slower pace and I'm really sure it's because of the hills that are around here, so definitely the hills are a factor in your slower pace.

Crabapple
I'd recommend that you look through the different posts that have been made over the last year or so. You may find a lot of help that way.
