TrishP1961
I ran a marathon in 2001 and then life got busy with my children in sports. Now that they are in college, I completed the Couch 2 5K last summer. I didn't actually run a 5K, just did the program and did a 5K by myself. I teach, school started and I haven't done any running. I'd like to compete in a real race in May. Should I start the 9 week C25K and then repeat week 9 until the race in mid-May? Or do each week twice until the weeks remaining match with how many weeks are left for the race ? I am on February break next week and would like to get started then...Monday is go to the new running store and buy a new pair of running shoes... Crabapple
You could always start with week 9 and if it's too much for you, you could go down a week, or if it is too easy for you, you could go up a week.
Ninjajedi
I would say just train and where the cards fall on race day is it. Happy running!
