Cardio should be done for at least five days in a row at a moderate effort for at least 30 minutes in order to lose weight, but it normally takes longer to truly burn calories. Your best option? Every week, do interval training two to three days, and on the other days, do more leisurely exercises. You'll burn more calories and develop endurance faster by alternating high-intensity intervals with recovery time. Another benefit is a fantastic afterburn. It's not necessary to have prior workout expertise to try interval training. Also you can try to attend some martial arts classes. I recommend you to try BJJ. As BJJ is also the best source of losing weight.
