Guest Liz
I have been having intense calf pain in both legs when I run. I am new at running and I started week 4 and could not complete it due to calf pain. I got new broooks that I got fitted for at the running store. Is this notmal? Guest Kells
Not sure if it is normal or not but I have been experiencing the same thing.
Guest Greg W.
Try calf supports. They have helped my calf pain. I also took 3-4 weeks off to recuperate and really heal between week 2 and 3.
KellyAnn
Hey there, Calf Pain or Tightness in the Calf? There are so many things that could be happening. Muscle spasms, cramps, tightness, pulled muscle, hip out of alignment, etc... Look up online and see what it is. I looked, but whew there is so much out there. When I ran in Utah last week, it was so cold outside that my left leg never warmed up at all (sciatic nerve), and man it was tough going. I do not notice it in the warmth at all.. Let me know as i am curious. If is tightness ,then , after you warm up, stretch your calves. I am now curious!
Guest Lisa
I had the same problem week four. I also invested in really expensive running shoes hoping to solve the problem. I bought a foam roller (Amazon $7) to help message my calves. It has not stopped the pain completely, but has helped! Look up foam rolling on runners world magazine online.
