New Jogger, quick question

Well I've already started week 1 of the 10K journey and feeling pretty good about myself.
Quick question is how often should I be training. It says Week 2 Day 1 all the way up to day 3. What I was doing for the first week was just doing each of the "days" in the app twice and then resting on the Sunday.
Am I doing it right or should I be resting after each workout day in the app.
Some help would be greatly appreciated!
