Guest Elisabeth R
I am 20 years old. I gained about 50 pounds after graduating high school 2.5 years ago. I would like to lose 25 to get into a healthy weight range (120) for my height (5'2"). I have just picked up running, and have signed up for a 5k 6 weeks from now. Any tips? KellyAnn
Hi Elisabeth, Welcome on here. We are here to cheer you on in your runs. A few of us are on MyFitnessPal too. Someone posted a topic on it and we are all putting our names on there. I posted an Accountability Topic too if that helps and you can check in everyday. I love how we all help each other on here. MyFitnessPal is an app where you log your workouts and food. We are the same height and every pound we gain shows, right?? My friend is 5'7" and we weight the same, but man, she looks small and I look like short and ___, lol............ I want to weight 135, no more, no less. I have football shoulders. Lovely. The 5k app is awesome and you will love it. Keep me posted. You can do it! Good luck to you. Have you started the 5k app yet?
Guest Elisabeth R
Kelly, Absolutely! I even notice when I gain 5! I had been trying to tell myself that I was content with my body for a few months, but I just knew that I could be looking and feeling better! Just finished up Week 1 Day 3 tonight! KellyAnn
Hi Elisabeth, Yep, it is us being short, lol. I used to be sooo little, but no desire for that anymore. The weight does not fall off like it used too. But I feel good when I am done.
Guest Kelli
Hi, I'm new to running also and def understand the #shortgirlstruggles I am 5' and 3/4 of an inch lol I just turned 35 in August and have been battling the bulge big time since I quit smoking a year and 8 months ago! I am not a self motivated person, I need support, it's much easier for me to go to classes because of the accountibility with the instructor and class mates but I'm hoping this app and you all can help me stay in check! Thanks and I look forward to chatting and cheering with you all!

Guest Kristin
Reading these replies....I'm right there with ya. I just turned 31 and I'm barely over five foot and I've never had to even watch what I eat till recently and I turned around....yup it's right behind me. Lol. I'm doing this app with my seven year old the last couple days so we can do a 5k together. I need to be more healthy and so far she's a good accountability partner. Good luck all!!
