Kryan6236
Im new to the forum but ive been using c25k and now c10k. I have a question...my wife and i did c25k and loved it we ran our first 5k Dec.6...afterwards we wanted to start 10k training but this last month has been hell. We are having a hard time making improvements. We made it to week 10 day 2 but after that run my ankles were killing me and my wife is having leg problems too. I know there is alot of information left out. Just wondering if there are any suggestions on how to get past this plateau?
Guest TrishE
Take a break. when i couldnt figure out why i couldnt run more than twenty minutes without my body shutting down, that worked for me. I just needed some time off. It doesn't have to be long. Take a week off to give your bodies rest. After that take a run day and see how far you can run without stopping and that time will be your starting point. Dont worry your endurance will bounce back quickly. Rob129
I'd repeat the days until your body adapts. If you have access to running clinic or Doctor, I recommend going to one. The running clinic I attended had a Sports Medicine MD and Physical Therapist. The clinic was extremely valuable, they identified issues with weaknesses with my core (& symmetry) that lead to problems with my foot. I'm stretching several times a day and following a core strengthening routine. Kryan6236
