Jfisher2346
Hello everyone! I'm new to running and am training for my police fitness test that I need to pass to get into the academy. I need to sprint 300 meters in 62 seconds and run the 1.5 mile in 13:08. I can already do the sprint but the 1.5 mile run is what I need to improve on. I know that is probably easy for most people on here but I'm new to running so cut me a break lol Also, I'm 23 years old, 5'11, and 253 pounds. I'm a powerlifter but I do cardio because I'm dieting but new to running. Any tips or help is appreciated, thank you in advance!

Wendell
Breathing is definitely key! I would also recommend going to a running shoe store and have them look at your form. A quality pair of shoes fitted for you make a huge difference also. Good luck on the academy!!
