In fact it can actually cause fat to increase because your body thinks its starving so it'll store the fat when it produces it. Changing to an all over healthy diet and eating when youre hungry so you dont binge later is what I've read is most effective. Fasting has many benefits and you should educate yourself on it. I love the 5:2 plan. You should also look at 16:8 and highly recommend checking out BassJump on Facebook.
