New2runFry
Hi, I've just started running and training for a 5k on October 25. I've always been a walker so am starting out with run-walk (2/1). I am 62, work out an hour a day 5-6 days a week and have a 6 year old granddaughter who I take care of like a daughter (her mom is deceased). Any tips or words of encouragement? Guest TrishE
Welcome! I wish you the best of luck My advice is to be patient with yourself and your progress. It may be slow going but every day you run is progress!
KellyAnn
Hi There New2Run, Welcome here. So proud of you and I know it is tough to be able to take care of your Gdaughter and to take care of yourself too. You need your time for yourself, as you will be the best you can be for her too.... Take that time for yourself in your run/walking. You can do it and we are never too old for being healthy...Keep us posted here and we are ALL HERE to cheer you on in your Journey!!
