Just completed week 4

Hi,

This is my first post in the community. I'll start by saying that I've already seen the results even though I'm halfway through. Week 4 was a huge jump for me, and it was really hard to finish. I can't help feeling a little nervous about week 5 and so on.

I'd like to have your opinion on a few topics, which, to me, are very important when it comes to running. 1) I have a treadmill and I use it to run on C25K. Would it make any difference if I set the board horizontally, without any slope? 2) I don't feel ready to begin week 5. Would it be better if I repeated week 5 and see how it goes again, or should I just continue? 3) Pain in my calves. Usually after 10-15 seconds of running, I start feeling that pain and it stays until I finish. Is that normal?

Thank you for reading. I'd really like to hear from you, and I'd also appreciate your help.

Hi there and Welcome here.

You are doing amazingly.

To answer your questions. If you feel, like you need to, then I would add an incline. But I live in the mountains, so everything is hilly. I woukd add a little. Running in a treadmill is so different than running outside. You can definitely repeat week 5 until you are comfortable to move on. When you run, you are working lots of muscles. You should not be feeling a lotmof pain. Most people complain about shin splints. After you feel like younare warmed up, stretch your calves to see if thatvhelps???? Do not stretch cold legs

Let me kniw how it goes. Goodnluck.
