Introducing myself

Hi,

I just turned 48 and have never been very active other than walking  and occasionally lifting weights. I've been thinking about doing the couch to 5K, but I have osteoporosis and didn't know if it was ok to still run. I've read articles saying both that it's fine and that it's dangerous. So I'm not sure what to think. Any thoughts?

 

Also, since it's summer, how do you all do this when it's 90 plus degrees out? Treadmill?

haha or morning or evening runs when its cooler. Unfortunately the only time I can run is mid afternoon when its hottest. I just take it nice and slow and make sure to drink tons of water before heading out.
